The Uni-Vibe has two distinct eras: 1968 for Honey and 1969 for Shin-ei. The 1968 Funky-Vibe era has a more intense throb than the 1969 version, with a wider speed range that goes from slow, throbbing speeds to fast pulses, as heard in Jimi Hendrix’s Voodoo Child (Slight Return) at 2:07, during his iconic performance at the Maui concert. On the other hand, the 1969 Funky-Vibe era has a more rounded throb and a sweeter tone, perfect for slower speeds, as heard in Machine Gun from The Fillmore East concert.

There´s 2 different era of the Uni – Vibe: 1968 for Honey and 1969 for Shin-ei Uni – Vibe.

* The 1968 Funky – Vibe era has more intense throb than the 1969 Funky – Vibe as in the original Honey Uni – Vibe and more speed range going from slow throbylicious speeds to really fast pulses as you may listen to it expression at Jimi Hendrix Voodoo Child Slight Return song played at Maui at the minute 2:07.
*The 1969 Funky – Vibe era has more more “round” throb than the 1968 and it´s sweeter giving those slow speeds great for that Machine Gun song played at The Fillmore East concert.

After an important investment in LDR/CDS photocells, long testing hours and more than 5 prototypes tested once and again, we’ve finally hit the bulls-eye.
SABBADIUS manufactures its Funky – Vibe RS with the components and specifications of the old 1968 Honey & 1969 Shin-ei version.
We use Custom Made Photocells (LDR/CDS) to give to the Funky – Vibe RS the Original Uni – Vibe kind of sound.
The transistors used here are 2sC828 for the signal and LFO path and 2sC539 similar type of transistor for the Pre-Amp section like in the original Uni – Vibe.
The pedal features 2 knobs, which set VOLUME and INTENSITY. It has a Din 5 female connector to conect the for Expression Pedal (FOOT CONTROL) allowing you to control the speed with your foot like in the original Uni – Vibe. The SABBADIUS Funky – Vibe RS is not True-Bypass as the original Uni – Vibe alowing you to use the Built-In Pre-Amp of the pedal to create that vintage tone, you can activate this You can achieve this by positioning the expression pedal backwards to activate the CANCEL switch and desactivate the vibe effect and only leave the Pre-Amp ON. The CANCEL function allows you to use the pedal as a Pre-Amp turning off the lamp bulb keeping a high impedance in the photocells that gives to the sound a wonderful Pre-Amp tone and sound like in the Original Uni – Vibe. It has a hand painted soft switch with airbrush and enamel paint lacquered with gloss lacquer for a longer duration of the painting. With the
RED/WHITE soft Rocker Switch you set the the different mode´s. When the RED side POSITION is DOWN activates the “CHORUS” MODE and when the WHITE POSITION IS DOWN you are in “VIBRATO” MODE. (Using just the Pre-Amp without the oscilation you can change the Mode´s from CHORUS to VIBRATO and you will increase the gain and body of your sound. You are going to love it… TRUST ME, Jimi Loved too, for some experts that was Jimi´s “Clean Tone” Secret!)

The SABBADIUS Funky – Vibe RS is Built-In Transformer inside the enclosure like the Original Uni-Vibe has and the cable cord from the unit to the wall so is ready to plug and play.

The INPUT transformer can be a 100Vac, 120Vac, 127Vac, 220Vac, 230 Vac and 240Vac for INPUT giving to the circuit the correct amount of OUTPUT power.
The pedal will be shipped with the correct transformer to the country that places the order, for example, if you are from AUSTRALIA you will receive a Funky-Vibe with a transformer inside of 230vac/240Vac for Input, if you are from United States you will receive an inside transformer of 120Vac for Input and the correct cable wire with parallel leads for the wall.
The pedal has a Fuse socket with a fuse inside that is there to protect the circuit in case there is an overload on the voltage.

Before connecting the FOOT CONTROL cable, TURN OFF completely the Funky – Vibe RS to prevent overloading the LFO transistors!
